Coin-op amusements news | DEAL amusements show likely to be called off for ’21

The big amusements and attractions show held in Dubai annually may become yet another victim of the Covid-19 pandemic.

DEAL is currently set for May 17-19 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, but increasing rumours about its chances of going ahead, in view of the current infection rate in the United Arab Emirates and around the world, have been circulated.

To take some of the pressure off for this year at least, the organiser, International Expo-Consults, based in Dubai, has issued a warning to confirmed exhibitors for this year.

It said: “Given the current situation and request from the majority of our exhibitors from across the globe, we are considering postponing DEAL 2021. The show’s visitor attendance will be impacted as well as people from key countries who are unable to travel abroad due to restrictions.

“We are awaiting feedback from the venue regarding the new dates before we make an official announcement.”
