After the two-day EAG Online expo held last week, the principals involved reported that they were well satisfied with the way in which the industry received the event.

Martin Burlin, chairman of the show, sponsored by trade association BACTA, said: “EAG broke new ground this year with its online event and I’m delighted it was well-received. While nothing beats meeting face-to-face, EAG Online successfully bridged the gap and gave exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to connect and have meaningful conversations.

“I would like to thank all the exhibitors, seminar speakers and visitors who supported the event and embraced the opportunity to get involved in something a little bit different this year.”

The organiser, Karen Cooke of Swan Events, said: “It was a new way for us to present EAG, however it was received well throughout the industry, especially the seminars with over 700 views.

“People can still view the seminars on the platform until the end of May and I have noticed today (last Friday) people are still logging on to view.”

EAG returns to its face-to-face format next year at the ExCeL centre in London, January 11-13.
