A Lancashire shopping mall in Skelmersdale, England, will soon have a huge entertainment complex that will include tenpin bowling, mini-golf, soft play, bars and cafes/restaurant.
Plans have been lodged for the Concourse Centre that will see an FEC to be named WonderWorld established on its second floor. The venue will be jungle-themed and will also include a ninja-style inflatable obstacle course plus a VR room, dodgems and electronic darts.
The project is intended to help boost footfall at the mall, which has fallen in recent years. Behind the plans is Moorgate Developments, a director of which, David Halliwell, said: “This is a long-awaited development by many people and businesses which is why we took our research to a higher level, examining popular entertainment centres in places as far away as Australia and the US.
“Separately, a new multiplex cinema is to be opened on the same site.”
