Hong Kong’s financially troubled Ocean Park has confirmed it has been granted the funds for its proposed make-over.

Around US$875m is to be invested in the location, which has been in financial difficulties for some years, made worse by the virus lockdowns.

The new plans for the park will include a conservation and education centre plus a 27-attraction water park.

The scheme was approved by the Hong Kong legislature with only one vote in opposition, 26 voting for the proposal.
