Coin-op amusements news | Ambitious plans for Disneyland

Disneyland in California is now authorised to reopen next month and will do so with ambitious expansion plans.

The company has launched a DisneylandForward programme, designed to rationalise, enlarge and improve the park and its resort in Anaheim. The company has not revealed much in the way of detail of its proposals beyond that it would be a “multi-year expansion.”

The long-term plan is to modify development approvals it received from the city of Anaheim in the 1990s. But it is believed the plans would include a themed area with rides and mountain landscapes with new hotels.

Disneyland California is due to re-open on April 30 with limited capacity.
