A unique fundraising initiative for amusement industry charities has been ongoing at Stern Pinball.

The US manufacturer, based in Illinois, is devoting the profits from its branded PPE wear to the American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation and trade association AMOA’s Coin-Op Cares charity.

The company introduced a line of Playstrong branded face masks in 2020 and sold them through authorised Stern Pinball dealers and distributors and online. Proceeds from the sales were distributed to the two charities.

“The Playstrong campaign was designed to share the stories of pinball enthusiasts, operators and players as they use pinball to help them get through the pandemic,” said Zach Sharpe, director of marketing.

“The pinball enthusiast community came together in a big way to support the charities because, after all, pinball is the universal language of fun.”
